amacorp.com Scars and stretch marks are all very different and delicate to treat. We customize each individual scar and stretch mark removal treatment for every patient. Scars and stretch marks are typically treated with three different lasers in each session. First, every scar or stretch mark is individually targeted. Next, we do an overall color blending of the scar area (“painting”), causing the “turn-over” of your base-line melanin (old melanin is replaced with new) which evens out your coloration. Thirdly, to fill in the scar from the inside out, we will stimulate the production of collagen with an intense collagen treatment. This targets old deteriorated collagen deep in the dermis in order to accelerate its removal by your body’s own natural processes. We will also target fibroblast cells throughout your dermis, stimulating them to produce amplified quantities of new young collagen. The last portion of the scar and stretch mark removal treatment will smooth out the surface of your scar with an epidermal resurfacing (laser peel). This phase removes a few microns (30-50%) of the epidermis (the dead cells on the top layer of your skin), along with its imperfections, discolorations, fine wrinkles and roughness. Scar and stretch mark removal usually will take approximately 4-6 treatments in 3-4 week intervals. Los Angeles Dermatologist Dr. Rebecca Fitzgerald shows just how simply you can take your appearance from Okay to Outstanding with some very simple procedures. Dermal fillers and collagen stimulators can alter contours, project a weak chin, add volume to cheeks, change a nose and lift a face that’s lost volume and “deflated”. From Radiesse or Juvederm for lifting a nose tip or smoothing out a bump or hump in the nose (a nonsurgical “nose job”) to the overall restorative effects of a resurfacing laser, Dr. Fitzgerald takes the time to explain how each procedure will impact the final results. Dr. Fitzgerald is a well-known International Injection Training Physician who travels around the world teaching other Dermatologists and Plastic Surgeons how to use Sculptra to restore youthful facial contours. www.rebeccafitzgeraldmd.com
