My 5 Month Accutane Cycle

I was on Accutane for 5 months. As you can see my acne was just awful! I did not get any of the side affects accutane might have. Sure i got dry lips and dry skin but it was so easy to handle. I made sure i would drink 2-3 litres at least a day of water, very important and use cetaphil moisturizer as well as Emu Oil for rashes! As you can see my acne is basically all gone, i still do have red marks tho. This is post acne and it will fade in time. I was on accutane for 5 months so i still have some time before everything will be 100%. I would recommend Accutane to ANYONE! it is amazing, it has changed my life and i will never look back. Please ask me any questons you have about it!

ahh sweet man congrats to you. i might be going on something like this but can i ask you a question?
after the prescribed course and after you have finished taking it, my biggest fear is that like a week later it will be back to what it was before the course began.. is that true?

I’ve been on this and so far it’s been two years since i’ve gotten broke out, works wonders!
@berriesANDcream95 That’s normal, as all the acne below the skin that hasn’t developed will need a place to go, and that’s out!
@kyle30bech LOL d’aw someone sad that it didn’t work for dem cuz mommy didn’t remind you to take? I’m guessing the only reason you were on it more than once was because you didn’t take it like you were told, and no there are not dozens of documented cases where accutane is the cause of suicide. Do your research before you comment us with your shit.

Yeeah it’s normal when I started it got worst and I wanted to stop but im on my last month and I dont really get any break outs .. Maybe once in a while you’ll get a zit but it’s normal everyone gets a zit once in a while.
Congratulations on a successful accutane journey! I was on accutane for about 6 months. I think the worst part about it was chapped lips… OH my lips were chapped SO bad … I also used Cetaphil … I found Eucerine helped with dry skin was well. Accutane change my life as well, and I’m so thankful for it! I never once had a horrible outbreak like I used to… Sure a blemish every once in a while, but nothing serious. You look fantastic! ^_^
yeah im on my 3rd month i think of accutane and right now its not so much acne just ive scratched the fuck out of my face because the first month or two the accutane makes it worse
@GeorgiaIsOnMyMind I never missed a dose and my acne has never gotten “wrose” ever since or after the first 3 months or so. I have done great after stopping. The odd break out if i eat somethin or take the wrong vitamin… I found my multi with too much B12 was making me have more zits rthan usual so i stopped that and im back to clear face
accutane is basically just a very high dose of vitamin-A(thats why theres so many side-effects cause it overdoses you) you could just buy vitamin-A supplements at the store and take a good healthy dose daily and it would most likely do the same thing as accutane… or just eat more carrots :p cause i know when i started eating more carrots my face cleared up alot lol. so vitamin-A is the secret.

Its interesting that even after taking accutane, your skin was still ACTIVELY breaking out for about three months, and only then did it start to get better, Did you ever find the acne coming back if you ever forgot a dose in the middle? Also, how have you done after stopping the medicine? Has the acne come back? Please do let me know.

On June 29, 2009, Hoffman-La Roche, the manufacturer of the popular acne drug, Accutane, announced a nationwide Accutane recall. When it announced the Accutane recall, the company cited generic competition and the growing costs of defending against Accutane lawsuits.
Im still on it, my acne was just like yours but im still on it and its been 8 1/2 months and still on it.
