Barrier Cream? I use vaseline on my upper lip when I wax above it. That protects me from ripping my mouth off.

Shaving makes the hairs more noticable when it grows back, it grows back faster (making you shave more often), it’s more prickly, & your face will show a more obvious irritation. On top of that, there’s the risk of cutting yourself in the face. So, if you want to look & feel like a cactus, shave.
As painful as it is, waxing is the way to go. There is some irritation with waxing, but in the long run, you won’t wax as much. Eventually, you won’t have to wax at all!

don’t follow this!!she didn’t apply barrier cream on the upper lip! if the wax accidentaly got on your upper lip, it would tear it off!! very dangerous!!you have to apply barrier cream to the upper lip which will not allow the wax stick on it. this video is rubbish and she is not doing it properly.

Wow, sorry but this tutorial kind of sucked. Instead of applying the wax sloppily like she did, make sure the temperature of the wax is a little hotter than warm, make sure the stick is on an angle and apply a thin, smooth layer and quickly take the fabric, and pat and smooth it on. Quickly pull the fabric off the opposite way you applied the wax, and make sure you pull it as close to your skin as possible. If you apply a thick, globby layer, it will be harder to remove, and will hurt like hell.
waxing isn’t that painful…threading on the other hand.. its cleaner and last longer but defiantly hurts more ha ha ha.
