Oil-Control?

I bought this product from the Murad site, not Amazon. I was extremely skeptical because I've tried quite a few products that say they cut back on oil, prevent it, etc. I was also worried about wasting so much money on a product that might not work at all. After looking at tons and tons of reviews all over the internet, I decided to give it a try. I applied it (in sections, because like someone else said, it's a little thick and doesn't spread far) one morning before classes. Generally, by the end of my first class, oil is already obvious on my face. However, the day I used this, there was *no* sign of oil. Now... I was and still am extremely excited about this because when I say my face gets oily, I mean it. It's disgusting. But you couldn't see any shine throughout my *entire* day at school, which is unheard of for me. I've been using the product for about five days now and I'm in love with it.
On the bottle it says to apply an even coat on your entire face, but I've just been putting it on my T-Zone, since that's where I get the most oil. For the price, it seems like it will last quite a while, but I'm not *entirely* sure about that right now. Especially for those who use it every day and do put it on their entire face, it might become pretty spendy - which so far is the only drawback.
I'd also like to add that it doesn't dry your face out at all. I don't know what, exactly, the science behind this product is, because it doesn't seem to suck up all the oil - which might bother some people - it just mattifies it and cuts it back *somewhat*. When I touched my nose area and between my eyes, they still felt somewhat oily, but you couldn't *see* anything. I asked my sister (she wouldn't lie to me), and then double-checked in a mirror to be sure, and there was no visible oil. I'm kind of 50/50 on this aspect. For those of us who have oily skin, it would be nice to lessen the amount of it, definitely. But on the other hand, if we use products that do dry our faces out, eventually we'll produce even more oil than usual. Which... no, thanks. All in all, I absolutely recommend this product. Tons of oil is gross and embarrassing, but I really do not have to worry about that anymore.
Oh! They don't test on animals, either! I've been staying away from products that do lately, so to find something that works this excellently *and* is cruelty free is absolutely amazing, in my opinion. |

I was a little unsure about buying this product because I have acne prone skin, but now I am a believer! This lotion keeps my face matt for hours and my skin is starting to look better and more even. I would definitely try it!

I have suyper oily skin and that is the main cause for my break outs. I started using this lotion and the oil on my skin has lessened considerably. I'm out in the sun and it know longer feels like im literally cooking because of all the oil on my skin. This product is great and my skin feels more cool under the sun. 5 stars.

I have oily skin and my face gets really shiny during the summer. It was getting embarrassing. I looked this up and saw some really good reviews, so I decided to give it a try. It works wonders!!! I'm no longer shiny and I haven't had any skin issues with it either. I have been using it for about 2 weeks now. The consistency is a bit weird, almost like glue and smells like glue, too. But it's not too bad to apply and the smell goes away. I would definitly recommend it if you have oily skin and want to control the shine.
Wonderful!!! Murad did this formula just right.

A well formulated mattifier for oily and super sensitive skin. While this does not mattify for 8 hours, it does have good staying power. It softens the skin and lessens redness. Since I have very oily skin i would apply this and follow with either OC8 mattifying gel or smashbox anti-shine neutral gel. Fianlly, finish with a sheer matte tint spf 20(neutral/beige foundation) for a flawless look.
